Before your visit

Where do we put our stuff? Can we bring our own snacks? Answers to many practical questions can be found on this page.

Thank you for choosing iQLANDIA as the destination of your visit. To make the most of your time with us, please read and follow the following instructions.

Information for teachers

  • You must make a reservation for your school group before the actual visit.
  • On arrival, the teacher checks in at the ticket office and waits for the arrival of the lecturer, who explains everything to the group and ensures their check-in. 
  • Tops, backpacks and larger handbags will be put in lockable cages, the key to the cage will be given to the teacher (100 CZK will be charged for the loss of the cage key/lock).
  • If you have printed out the worksheets, bring your writing utensils with you.
  • There is a restaurant on the ground floor where you can buy food and drinks. You can eat your own snacks in the designated picnic areas. 
  • A tutor is available on each floor.
  • If an emergency occurs (damaged exhibit, accident...), contact any iQLANDIA employee. 
  • If the fire alarm goes off, please do not panic and wait calmly for instructions from iQLANDIA staff or the radio.
  • Keep a careful eye on your personal belongings that you take with you (small purses, bags, mobile phones, etc.), visitors are responsible for their own belongings, in case of loss, please report to the science centre ticket office.
  • Students do not need money for the duration of the visit (only to buy snacks), we recommend planning any souvenir purchases in the shop before leaving the science centre.

Important information that needs to be emphasised to pupils

  • It is forbidden to run around the exhibitions and to be noisy. 
  • Please do not move parts of the exhibits.
  • It is forbidden to eat and drink in the exhibitions. 

Information for groups with a booked program

  •  In case of delays on the way, please inform us of the expected time of delay by calling the reservation phone 730 809 075.
  • Please arrive on time for the educational programmes and arrive at the planetarium no later than 5 minutes before the screening.
  • In case of delays we do not guarantee the implementation of tutorials. 
  • During the programs we require the presence of a pedagogical accompaniment, we do not take responsibility for the pupils.
  • The planetarium is located on the 4th floor at the end of the Kosmo exposition.
  • The laboratories and auditorium can be found on the 2nd or 3rd floor.
