Water World
A place where the water element comes alive and gives visitors at least a partial opportunity to take control of it! This is the Water World exhibition, which greets you as soon as you enter the iQLANDIA premises.
At regular intervals you will be amazed by our playing fountain, or rush straight to our trough where you can play with the water. An outdoor section of the Water World is also open during the summer months.
Playing fountain
One of the absolutely unique experiences you can have in iQLANDIA is the playing fountain. Every hour, the entire building rings with well-known hits, film music and, for example, a mashup of songs by the famous cult band Queen. The fountain usually starts playing five minutes before each full hour. The following songs, along with other accompanying programs, can be heard from the program on the TVs placed around the iQLANDIA premises.
Control the fountain
In the intervals when the fountain is not resonating with one of its main tracks, you can operate it yourself. The space around it has several control panels symbolizing different instruments. There are two ways to control these panels. Moreover, they depend on the time you come to the fountain - can you discover both?
Splash screen
Have you ever tried drawing in the rain? If so, you have probably discovered that it is no fun. Fortunately, here at iQLANDIA, even such almost impossible feats become a breeze. You can try drawing in the rain right by the fountain - there is a control panel in front of the fountain where you can draw anything. Your creation will then be reflected in the drops of water that rain down just in front of the screen behind the fountain.
Water corner
If you go past the fountain, a watery playground will open up before you. Try to build a dam and then open the floodgates. See how water powers our little water wheels. Thoroughly examine the whirlpool and see how it handles an inflatable balloon. There is also a large stone sphere in the middle of the water corner that symbolizes our planet Earth. You will see right away that it is going to be pretty heavy. But you can still easily spin it under your own power - can you figure out why? But make sure you don’t get soaked during your aquatic exploration!
Photo booth
A photo booth is located next to the water corner. If you want, you can get a unique souvenir of your visit for a small fee. There is an eye-catching background with the motif of the unique iQLANDIA building and lots of different texts and other tools you can use to jazz up your photo!
Outdoor water world
In the hot summer months, you can also relax in the outdoor part of the exhibition. As well as aquatic games, you can take a ride on our slide and explore a small model submarine that you can even climb into. Besides the watery fun, there are also relaxing games in the outdoor part of the Water World, and train and railway fans will also enjoy themselves – you can become a train driver for a while and take a trip on our virtual train!
Keep going
From the first floor, part of which is dedicated to the Water World exhibition, you have several options as to where to go next. Immediately behind the glass elevator, you can descend into the interior of our planet and explore the GEOLAB exhibition. For the nostalgic and retro lovers there is a temporary exhibition called Obsolete Inventions, the entrance to which is located behind the photo booth. Alternatively, you can spiral up to the higher floors and discover the other interesting places in iQLANDIA.
